Rebates for Efficiency Upgrades
Get warm and save money this winter with cold cash incentives from Thurston Energy. We’re offering rebates for homeowners that can pay up to $1000 on insulation, heating systems and more!

We have three rebate packages to choose from:
REBATE 1: Evaluation
$200 Rebate for HomePLUS Energy Evaluation
Comprehensive energy evaluation (including blower door and thermal scan) resulting in an Energy Performance Score (EPS) and associated report.
Requirements for eligibility
• Home located in Thurston County
• Single family home, duplex, or maximum of four contiguous units
• HomePLUS conducted by qualified, authorized provider
• Submission of rebate form
• Evaluation must be completed by June 21, 2013*
REBATE 2: Weatherization
Rebates for 30% of price paid for weatherization improvement services (and materials) up to a maximum rebate amount of $1,000. Qualifying measures to increase building envelope performance may include:
• Air Sealing
• Insulation
Electrical wiring upgrades associated with insulation measures
• Whole house ventilation
• Duct sealing
Requirements for eligibility
• HomePLUS prior to improvements (eligible for $200 rebate)
• Air sealing required prior to installing additional insulation
• Use of contractors on the Thurston Energy Vendor Network
• Verification after completion of improvements by authorized, qualified provider, confirming improvement in envelope building performance, and health and safety conditions*. Minimal verification must include blower door test, CAZ test, and the installation of a CO detector if applicable. (* Additional vendor fees may apply)
• Improvements completed between November 1, 2012 and June 21, 2013*
• Submission of rebate form, including required attachments.Rebate materials must be recieved no later than 5pm PST, Friday, June 21, 2013.
REBATE 3: HVAC Improvement
Rebates for 30% of price paid for HVAC system improvement up to a maximum rebate amount of $1,000. Qualifying systems may include:
• Ductless heat pump
• High efficiency ducted heat pump (minimum of 8.5 HSPF and 14 SEER)
• Duct sealing
• High efficiency natural gas furnace (minimum 95% AFUE)
• Geothermal heat pump
Requirements for eligibility
• Thurston Energy HomePLUS prior to improvements (eligible for $200 rebate)
• One of the following weatherization requirements:
• Rebate 2: Weatherization rebate process completed
• Weatherization measures completed prior to October 31, 2012 through a contractor on the
Thurston Energy Vendor Network (with accompanying documentation)
• Documented building envelope tightness of 5 ACH50 or better
• For improvements on ducted systems: If ducts are in unconditioned but accessible space, ducts must be sealed
• Use of contractor on the Thurston Energy Vendor Network
• Improvements completed between November 1, 2012 and June 21, 2013.*
• Submission of rebate form, including required attachments. Rebate materials must be recieved no later than 5pm PST, Friday, June 21, 2013.

*Thurston Energy rebates are dependent upon defined timeline and limited promotional funding. Please contact Thurston Energy directly with any questions concerning current availability status. Rebate materials must be recieved no later than 5pm PST, Friday, June 21, 2013.
