Local Non-Profit Groups

Thurston Climate Action Team

The Thurston Climate Action Team (TCAT) is local non-profit dedicated to creating a healthy and sustainable future for Thurston County by encouraging, coordinating and taking action on climate change. They collaborate with several local organizations to promote action on climate issues, including the Thurston Regional Planning Council, Thurston Economic Development Council, Northwest EcoBuilding Guild, The Evergreen State College, Thurston County and many more.

TCAT wrote the $1M grant proposal which started Thurston Energy, in partnership with Thurston Economic Development Council. They played an active role in guiding the project during its first two years of operation, and currently serve in an advisory capacity for the program.
